4th of July Parade
The Side Lake Parade Committee is recruiting all creative and enthusiastic 4th of July lovers to join our parade with a float. The top four winners receive prizes between $200 – $400 worth of gift cards to local food and drink establishments. We welcome all ages. Walking floats are encouraged and welcome. We also encourage businesses to enter a float. Same day registration is allowed. If you wish to register in advance, registration forms are at CCC Store and Side Lake Store. Road Closures
The Fourth of July Parade will take place at 10 am on July 4. Line up begins at the intersection of Rudstrom Road and Sturgeon Road at 9 am. The parade route goes to McCarthy Beach Road then east to Highway Five. The parade route will be closed to traffic beginning at approximately 9:30 am to the end of the parade. The parade committee does not display “no parking signs.” Please respect the state park rules and homeowners along the route.
Firecracker5K
The Annual Firecracker 5k will take place on July 6, 2024. The route will start at Bimbo’s, head south on highway five, east on East Road, north on Pine Tree and loop back around to Bimbo’s. Same day registration begins at 7 am. The race begins at 9 am and said route will be limited to one lane of traffic during the race time (until approximately 10:30 am).
